There are many Law of Attraction and New Age teachings out there that focus on things like self love or raising your vibration or making sure you feel good all the time or having an attitude of gratitude. They tell you to control what you’re thinking, to be careful what you say, that your words have power.
The problem with all of this is that it can keep you spinning your wheels – thinking that you’re doing something to improve your life, when in fact you’re just creating more of the same.
You see, it’s not thoughts that create things. It’s your state that generates everything, including your thoughts. What you think in one state is completely different to what you think in another state. That’s why it doesn’t make sense to directly change your assumptions – to try to love yourself when you don’t, or to see yourself as worthy when you feel unworthy, or to be grateful for what you have when you actually hate it.
When you learn to shift your state, you bypass all of that. Everything shifts automatically. All your thoughts, your actions, the people and things around you, it will all feel very different even though physically it all looks exactly the same. It’s like an instant shortcut to getting what you want. If you imagine your life as a GPS route directing you from where you are now to your end point, when you switch states you are immediately changing that end point along with the path from where you are to that end point.
Don’t waste time trying to be OK with things you don’t like. You’re not here to suffer. You’re here to live, to love, to enjoy life, to fulfill all your desires. You are powerful. You are limitless. You can have anything you want. Don’t hold yourself back. Let yourself dream, and then feel the wonder of giving life to those dreams.
